The Wine Academy called Socrates 12 is a unique event and experience that permeates the world of wine feeling transformed into philosophical thought.
The Wine Academy Socrates 12 uniquely guides you through the world of Croatian and regional wines, through philosophical thought and the experience of wine as in the old days of Socrates but with the sensitivity of the present moment, where the concept of the past only touches philosophy, and the concept of the future is an unreal concept that is breathed through the wine philosophy of the present moment.
Why Socrates 12?
or a simple reason and the greatest thought, the greatest philosopher of all time, which is:
“A man who has few friends, has a lot of life experience”
Therefore, we have reduced those few friends but sincere and real, to the number 12.
Why the number 12?
It is the ideal number for communication, there were also 12 apostles at the Table.
What do we offer at the Wine Academy Socrates 12?
We offer the experience of tasting the best Croatian and regional wines, with lectures and expert guidance from the best enologists and wine connoisseurs in a friendly and philosophical way.
What is our philosophy of wine tasting?
We taste the 12 best, as rated by the Wine Academy, 8 domestic and 4 regional.
Every 6 months, one wine “falls out”, and another, which is on the waiting list, “enters” the philosophical debate, as rated by visitors to the Wine Academy.
